[COLLECTION THREAD] Unjustified disallowed words

No idea how this could be considered a bad word, but having to be known as the incorrectly spelled "FuzzeePumpkin" irritates me to no end. Apparently people were having problems with this word being prohibited from usernames as far back as 2014 - that's nine years, people! - with no change in the interim.

Please just let me spell my netname correctly. It's embarrassing.

There a lot of disallowed words BUT it's about an allowed word.

How is it possible, for an "inclusive game" to let people post on the gallery with the word "*". That's a very rude and offensive term for us, trans people.

i have done a report on the gallery (my game is in french) and Ea rejects it

Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Try to save a Great Pyrenees from the Cats & Dog Expansion Pack to your Library or try to upload it to the Gallery. Type the dog's name in as Hugo. The other Sims in the Household are Lewis Miller, Wade Ryder, Juniper (Maine *), Fae (Border Collie), Emma (Jack Russell Terrier), and Dynamo (American Shorthair). I have played this Household for a few days but added the Great Pyrenees, Jack Russell Terrier, and American Shorthair today. I added Hugo first out of the three new sims and when I went to exit Create-A-Sim the pop-up appeared. When I went back to C-A-S and created the other two pets the same pop-up appeared when I saved the Household to my Library.
What happens when the bug occurs? A pop-up shows up saying this Household cannot be uploaded to the gallery because of a banned word in the Sim's name or description do you want to continue? I did not try to upload the Household to the Gallery and I was able to save it to my Library.
What do you expect to see? The pop-up not to appear.
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Never used.
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? No

@JaylatheBookworm   Hi!  Based on the fact that Maine * was censored in your post, I think that's probbably the issue.  I see you have that as a hash tag in your description.  I realize the word by itself can be a racial slur but it should not be banned when it's used as the cat breed.  Hopefully someone on the team will work on fine tuning their process for banned words.

Edit:  I just noticed the word C*oon was censored in my reply as well.  :-/

 I did some testing, and yes * is censored. I created a brand new household with one human Sim with a MaineCoon and Great Pyrenees, and a pop-up did not appear when I went to exit Create-A-Sim. I could upload the Household to the Gallery before I removed it. #MaineCoon and #GreatPyrenees were still in the description. When I tried to upload my current household, a new pop-up appeared "Breed name contains a disallowed word". Then I remembered that by default, the game has the Breed Name as MaineCoon. When I noticed it, I added a space to have Juniper's Breed Name be Maine * because I thought it was a weird typo. I noticed there was no space between those two words when I was adding the Great Pyrenees and the American Shorthair to the household. After that point, I could not exit Create-A-Sim without a warning pop-up appearing.

Two that I can think of off hand:

Queer - being Genderqueer I have never been able to use queer for any of my Sims or their descriptions.

Skeet - I created a likeness of Actor, Skeet Ulrich on request but his name was disallowed - which i mentioned in the final sentence of the Description.

My friend tried to upload a Sim and was told there was a disallowed word in the name. It was "Johnny". 

I can only assume that this was because the word "john" means "toilet"? But when I jokingly suggested he try uploading the Sim as "Toiletny", oddly that was allowed by the gallery. 

He did try variations of Johnny, like Jonny and Joni, these were also allowed. But I find it strange, I mean Johnny Zest is an iconic townie. Why is "Johnny" disallowed?

Not sure if this has been listed or not yet, but Mayonnaise is a disallowed word, and in case it is disallowed here M a y o n n a i s e

I'm an older Simmer so it's possible this is offensive slang I'm not familiar with, however, I would have thought if it was that it would become obvious from a Google search and it didn't. 

I am doing a historic save file and was trying to use the name "Joli"  which I understood to be a French name based on the word for pretty. I could use Jolie or Jolee, but not Joli or Jolli.  It isn't hugely important to me, I just was very confused and wondered why was disallowed and if I was just being very ignorant about something I should know.

I had a similar experience. I was making a Muslim family in CAS and for the mom's name I typed "Shazia" and for the family's surname I typed Rahman and when I clicked the check button it said the warning and my friend had a house hold also called Rahman but it is not censored.
