@WindyVee Please move your mods folder to the desktop, delete Documents > Electronic Arts > The Sims 4 > localthumbcache, repair your game and then try again on a backup of your save to see of you can duplicate the issue on a game with no mods.

Re: Reaper pass inaccessible

How do I get my saves back after I do these things recommended by you?? I didn't see where someone posted their results of the event working after following your directions, which is my case. I'm sorry if it's obvious and I haven't figured it out yet. Thank you for your help!! I don't see you get enough thanks for all that you have done over the years you have been doing this good work!!

Hero

You can now start to copy back things from Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4_Old to the new Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4 folder that was created.

First only copy (I suggest to copy so you can go back in case anything goes wrong along the way) the content of the folder Saves (these are your save games). If you are prompted if want to overwrite a save, decide if you want to keep that testing save you just made or not. If not, just overwrite if, if you want to keep it, rename the save to a different number that isn't taken.

Test just your save game with nothing else added back. If that works, you can start copying back the rest. If not, check back.

You will need the following folders

- Tray (your households and lots you have saved to library)- Custom Music (if you added any)
- Screenshots (if you've taken any)
- Videos (if you've taken any)
- ConfigOverride (if you made any although I recommend redoing those)
- Options(.ini) (although I recommend to just redo your settings in the game)

Now test again. If that still works, you can put back your mods. Put them back in groups and make sure they are still compatible with the game.

All other files are recreated and not needed.

Glad I'm able to help :D

Grim reaper event down

★★★ Newbie

I’m trying to do the grim reaper event but last week it said “the gnomes are fixing this” for the become friends with the grim reaper. So now I have that and week 3 stuff to do but the task bar isn’t popping up and now I can’t even summon the grim reaper. How do I fix this? I’m so upset I was SO excited for this and now it’s not working!!

Reaper’s Rewards “The First Ingredient” quest not appearing

[ Edited ]
★★★★ Apprentice

Turned the game on today to complete this week’s quests, but only “Learning From The Lady” is showing up in the game. Both quests show on the quest tracker, and I have completed the other one, but I can’t figure out how to kick off “The First Ingredient” in the game itself. Screenshots attached. I’m on Xbox Series X with all packs and kits installed. Am I missing something?

Please note I’m on Xbox so don’t have any mods or cc and can’t try any of the troubleshooting methods that involve deleting/moving files etc. I have obviously tried restarting the game.

*sigh* Yep. Third week in a row, and I am experiencing issues too.

I got all the other Quest done. But have had nothing but trouble with The First Ingredient, particularly when I travel. I get the newsletter, and first travelled to the Magic Realm/Casters Alley and that wiped everything. Reset, deleted localthumbcache and removed AccountDataDB or whatever it is file. Next time I loaded the game, the entire event was missing (no Reaper in the corner). Put my AccountDataDB BACK in, had to re-start (get the newsletter), fished without traveling and got the Angel Fish. No new Quests popped up, so I had to travel to Caster Alley... and now The First Ingredient is empty AGAIN.

same, but I don't even have gnomes fixing mine. it's just inaccessible. Couldn't do the first quest in week 2, nothing for week 3. If I click the grimmy icon, I get nothing but the main rewards page, but cannot click on a previous week to do quests, current quests, etc. Nothing works.

@crinrict I'm not OP but I'm having the same problem, and removing mods and localthumbcache and repairing the game makes no difference. I've tried loading various save files and households and still can't play the event.
