@Straatford87 Just another reminder that this journey has been, and continues to be, very lame so far and doesn't feel like a "journey" at all. It feels like we're being taken for a ride, and that's a bad thing.

@Straatford87 Eagerly awaiting the next monthly communication, since I guess this is the cadence we can expect with this game. Takes a month to put together a single communication that needs to be run through multiple levels of approvals to sanitize any emotion from it.

It'd be different if we were seeing a ton of patches coming quickly and could believe that the team was heads-down working on the game, but given that we're also on a seemingly monthly patch cycle with little information about what's in the April patch and no patch in February, I'm honestly not sure what the heck DICE is even doing or what is consuming so much of the CM teams time that they struggle to come up with more than a single communication per month.

★ Guide

When are we getting clans aka battlelog platoons being added? So much of the game that would pull ppl from bf4 and bfv would be the clan system, removal of specialists or class locking them, and more guns. So many clans and milsims want to move to 2042 but cant due to no system

@Airstriker97 This is easily the most antisocial BF game that DICE has built in a long, long time. It's wild how for a multiplayer only game, they basically have done nothing to actually encourage or support group play if you have more than 3 friends.

Just another post saying how disappointing this journey has been so far, and how it still doesn't feel like a "journey" at all. It just feels like we're in the car with the tires spinning.

Yes exactly they went down hill with their stupid ego rushing to sell stupid unfinished product and trying to promote it so well, to deceive everyone its like watching these chinese mobile games trailers that are totally different from the game, how pathetic, i just want to give credits to their marketing team they did a great job in lying. and i dont think or i dont even hope for a better Bf game anymore, EA and Dice perfect combination for an egoic Game indusrty that is aiming for revenue not entertainment,

what Happened to EA Game Challenge everything. if an indie developer company is giving better results.

and then you see them promoting their stupid soundtrack on soundcloud like it is even better.

its all because of Halo and elden ring UI

It's now April and this "journey" still sucks and feels like it's going nowhere. I'm getting off pretty soon, this seems like a waste of time to be honest. No urgency, no commitment, no passion. Just disappointment.

★★★ Newbie

BF 4 had about 88 weapons on release.

BF 2042 had around 22 weapons on release, this is part of the bread and butter of the franchise.

Please add a lot more weapons.

A loyal fan.

Continued reminder that this is a lame, boring, depressing, underwhelming "journey" that feels like BF2042 is going nowhere, fast. There feels like there's no passion, urgency, or motivation from the team (I'm sure there is, but it's been choked out by leadership) nor commitment to delivering fans the game that was marketed to us. Instead, the commitment is to delivering as minimal support as possible while spending as little money as possible on it to meet current obligations while the studio focuses on the next installment and other BF-related titles.

Not sure who y'all think is gonna buy that after the objectively confirmed repeat lies from DICE like "way ahead of schedule" and the fact that y'all have shattered trust with your community and are making precisely zero efforts to win that trust back.

It's gonna be fun, and depressing, watching the next BF game similarly underperform and for layoffs to start hitting DICE. Which will be a shame, since they'll hit rank-and-file developers and not the leadership within DICE that is responsible for these terrible, awful, no-good decisions in pursuit of trying to please their overlords at EA.
