Brilliant, thank-you for the update and the pinned article.

I can’t wait to hear about the following in the coming months.

  • How you’ll be improving squad play

  • How you’ll be addressing match making, quick play and server browsers.
    • (Whilst I’m a fan or map updates and scoreboard, this really is the biggest problem. without the above you’ve really nurfed team play. And will never recover your fan base.)
  • How you’ll be improving the scoring system, looks like your starting from scratch. Also be good to hear about releasing stats data for existing 3rd party BF communities to use.
    • a big part of BF was stats. Another big loss for your legacy/long term players. I want to hear how this is being addressed, it would definitely make some players happy.
  • How classes and specialists will evolve.
    • Personally I think this should be left till last. It’s a hot topic and to be honest if you fix/update the other issues first. It’s likely to be a no brainier.
  • How the overall start and end game flow will be improved.
    • It needs a more serious take and should be optimised to allow for squads to prepare for war and deploy.
    • So I would love to hear how your planning on improving this. Especially how your going to ditch the voice lines.
    • Personally I would love it if the end of round screen was tabbed. Hell you could have a tab with a voice line if you want just for memes. I’m old, I want to view at my leisure the results of battle. Best team, individual. Badges and awards, best kill, score board, etc etc.

Good luck

All of this, additionally if anything will be done in the way of implementing persistent servers and a server browser. Something that should probably be addressed sooner than later.

I will definitely second that, imho MM is killing the game.

There are so many players asking for this who would really like to know if there are plans to implement this in upcoming updates.

Please bring back the Server Browser / Persistent Servers we had in previous BF's and allow players to play the game without the frustrations caused by MM.

Indeed. it’s actually amazing they managed to make a two sided 128 multiplayer game about as close to a single player game as you could imagine.

Unless MM is changed, I’ll probably never play it again, and will stick to BF4. There’s zero chance the clan will shift to 2042. They still laugh at me when I say I’ve been playing it.

Deploy my REFUND! Hoping your entire studio shuts down for lying to loyal fans and stealing their money. You served us a hot pice of garbage. Can’t even get a freaking scoreboard to work  the 3.3 patch. You people are a joke.

Don't worry, they've most likely abandoned this game to pursue a more profitable endeavor now that they've harvested all the money they can from this * heap of a game. With the player base pretty much dried up, like a log of cat * that has been left out in the sun for many weeks, any content they release (if they ever do) will be mostly enjoyed by bots.

So glad I wasted my money on the gold edition for the "battlepass" they're so determined to release sometime never. You guys deserve all the criticism you get, I have no sympathy for such a massive company who shamelessly takes peoples hard earned money, then just abandons them because they're more worried about shareholders. I will never buy another game published by EA ever again.

EA go * yourself.

@RickCrump Don’t forget DICE…they created this dog* of a game that can’t even get a working scoreboard on a 3rd generation patch. Clown show

Is the journey over already? Man, that was lame. Almost as lame as paying $60+ for 40% of a poorly made game that gets abandoned.

I'm glad that you have finally listened to the fans and shared the plan for the immediate future of BF2042.

and really think you have what it takes to make this the best BF game we have had since BF3/BF4 (BF1 was epic too)  its the best approach to take stock and fix whats broken before introducing anything new.

Yes, I'm annoyed at the lack of content and bugs, but being prepared and having a good plan going forward is defiantly the way to go.

I would suggest while we wait for new maps that all the portal maps are available in All-Out-Warfare or create a featured 2042 all maps mode on conquest/Breakthrough.

thanks and looking forward to the next update and Season 1

@Straatford87 This "journey" sucks. It's not a journey at all, it's just spinning the tires while the vehicle doesn't move.
