The Sims 4 is now live on Steam! - June 18, 2020
EA Staff

Sul Sul! Welcome to all of our new Steam players. We’re super excited to bring The Sims 4 and all of our packs to a new platform and wanted to share some information about the game and provide some links for new players.

It wouldn’t be a Steam game without Trading Cards, Badges, Emoticons and Profile Images, and those are all available at launch!

On behalf of the entire The Sims 4 team, we thank you for playing, and enjoy the game!

One of the best things about The Sims is that it has powerful cheats available to let you adjust the game the way you want to play. Check out more about how to enable cheats and some of the recommended ones here.

Another amazing thing about The Sims is that it has a robust and active Mod community. While we don’t officially support any Mods, we do recommend reading our guide about the various types of Mods available and some pointers for using them:

LAUNCH NOTES

The Sims 4

  • The Steam Overlay hotkeys conflict with the Sims 4 first-person mode hotkeys (they both use Shift-Tab). If a Sims 4 player on Steam wants to use first-person mode, they will need to change the hotkeys for the Steam Overlay.
