This was happening in my game, also when choosing aspirations from Growing Together (happened with two of them: Mind and Body and Playtime Captain). When I chose a different aspiration (Rambunctious Scamp), it clicked off when finished. It was easy to fulfill since the Sim already had the skills from the GT aspirations; sharing in case anyone wants to move on in the scenario as well as report the bug.

This is still happening to me!! I'm on my 3rd child aspiration now and nothing is changing 😫 anyone have anything else to try?? Any cheats?? I haven't been cheating yet, but I'm getting desperate 

HOW TO FIX IT:

I had the same problem where the child completed their aspiration twice and it checked off the box for a second and then went back to not being completed. In order to fix it, get all other missions completed and THEN complete the aspiration with the child. At least that worked for me. 

I have been playing the „Aliens abducted my parents“ scenario and have fulfilled almost everything. I have only two weeks left until the child becomes a Teenager. Now I have this bug: I finished the child‘s aspirations, I fulfilled them all, but in the scenario’s „to-do-list“ it is not checked. I‘m really frustrated since it wasn’t all that easy on the whole and I managed quite well and would only need to reach the 15.000 Simoleons mark and would have completed the scenario. Was it all for nothing now? 🥺

I'm playing this scenario now, and yeah, my child sim has completed both the "Slumber Party Animal" and "Playtime Captain" aspirations from Growing Together and it does not appear to have fulfilled the "complete any child aspiration" task on the checklist.

I am currently playing the scenario "Aliens stole my parents" and I have checked off every single criteria on the list that I need to meet. As you can see in the screenshot that I completed two different aspirations for the child sim and still have not received a check mark on the list. Is this a bug or do I need to complete all the child aspirations for this sim? If it is a bug, is there a way to fix this problem?

Since the scenarios are designed for the base game, you probably need one of the 4 base game Child aspirations: Artistic Prodigy, Whiz Kid, Rambunctious Scamp, and Social Butterfly. I think the Multi-Skill aspirations shown in your picture must come from Growing Together, and therefore won';t be recognized by the scenario.

I also have this same problem. My child has completed his aspiration but because it's one of the GT aspirations it doesn't register in the scenario. However, the only available aspirations to choose from are the GT ones.
