Why was this vehicles ridiculously overpowered anti infantry rockets not addressed. This is the key thing ruining the game as mentioned by many many players. The rest of the helicopters didn't need changing or moving slot etc this specific vehicle with that specific weapon needed to either be removed entirely or heavily treated for balance. It is also embarrassing for the community team on BF2042 that you even tweet and retweet content of people ruining the game for others and just shows how out of touch the team is with the majority of people playing the game. You have the data. Look at the metrics. There shouldn't be a way that a single man vehicle should be able to go on 80-0 on spree (of which 25 kills are them farming afk forced spawns at the start of the game and the bot wave). DO NOT LET THIS GO MONTHS BEFORE BEING ADDRESSED. This is a live service game and all that needs to be done is tweaking values or disabling the anti infantry rockets. This vehicle is more overpowered than the 12g frag rounds which were instantly disabled once that was discovered. Please please address this and make the game enjoyable to experience as a regular non-streamer overpowered vehicle abuser.
Bro, I think the Nightbird is balanced well right now.
You can more easily shoot the pilot out, it's a bit harder (heavier) to control, and it's now one shot kill with the Bolte. There are other multiple ways to bring the bird down.
The thing is that your're dealing with one of the (if not THE) best heli pilot in BF2042 lol, and you're just unlucky he's in your region. Lol
AsheBF. I watch his streams. He's insane. Is the second legit highest ranked player with Rank 300+, and has over 1600 hours in the game. Of course he will dominate. Lol

This is probably the one thing I believe needs to be addressed soonish.
RE your other points, yeah getting farmed isn't fun but there are counters to it that many people have successfully achieved. For one its much easier to shoot pilots out now, hacking helis is a great way to get them to go away, or just stay out of their way entirely (ie indoors). Granted, not all objectives have cover in the right places, but enough of them do that you can still be in the fight exclusively against infantry if you want.
Of course nobody should be un-killable, if you're able to find the right squad you can take out basically anyone with ease. Teamwork is essential, and now that VOIP is a thing it should theoretically be easier to achieve.

So will the game return to a live service now or are we going to have to wait weeks for these kind of massive patches?

This update is a slap to the face for pilots, not only did you nerf the nightbird but you reduced the amount of attack aircrafts overall. The nightbird feels heavier now and it struggles to lift. The sights also got lowered so it’s hard to shoot ground targets. Did I mention the bolts rocket barrage can completely take down a nightbird too?! Might as well call it hardline since you only want transport helicopters up there.

@Straatford87 Another one:
Idk if it's a bug or by design but the Nightbird default (non-zoomed) crosshair feels off, not centered and a bit floaty. You have to zoom every time you switch to cockpit view to get it centered and static and by doing so the screen jerks every time when switching. It's a bit weird. I hope it's a bug and it gets fixed ASAP.
Forwarded this to the team to be reviewed - thank you for posting this!

@Straatford87 Wait unable.to load persistent data bug.has finally been fixed? I might have to reinstall....when new content comes out
Yes, in this Update we resolved further instances of this error occurring. However, note that "Unable To Load Persistence Data" is still a general connection error - so you might still see it pop up at times.
To clarify, what we resolved are some of the instances we could find where it wasn't a connection error on the player side that caused the issue.

One bug that is still present is loadouts getting reset because of Portal mode. If you join an Infantry Conquest [for example] any vehicle that is not listed/available has their loadouts reset when you leave the match, super annoying.
This is super good info to have! Thank you for posting that. As recently outlined here, we're still investigating a further rare occurrence of this bug. The info you posted is super helpful, so we'll check it out further.

It seems that the HDR option is auto-disabled for the PS5 version of the application. (Image Attached)
FYI, I even tried enabling the option to force HDR in the PS5's system menu, but the HDR is still set to "off" and grayed out on BF2042.
I checked up on this for you. The HDR options actually shouldn't be visible in-game on console. It's enabled automatically if supported, so we have a fix incoming in a future update that removes this option from the menu.
What we'll add in stead is a calibration screen for HDR.
