How do I report a bug or issue?

• Check the Known Issues list below just in case we are already tracking it, while this list may not be the definitive full list, we will keep it updated.
• If the issue isn't reported below, please visit our Battlefield 2042 bug report section to report it. If you've experienced an account-related issue, please get in touch with us via EA Help.

Live Service Alerts

Dozer - SOB-8 Ballistic Shield - All Platforms - 31/01 @ 09:30 UTC

Dozer can sometimes use his SOB-8 Ballistic Shield where not intended - for example whilst prone. We aim to resolve this within a future game update.

Paik - EMG-X Scanner - PC - 31/01 @ 09:30 UTC

The cooldown indicator for the EMG-X Scanner is not currently displaying on the inventory line (bottom right while in a match). We aim to resolve this within a future game update.

T-UGS, EOD Bot Regenerating - All Platforms - 31/01 @ 09:30 UTC

T-UGS and the EOD Bot are currently able to regenerate health after a short period of time after taking damage from enemy fire. This behavior is not intentional and will be corrected in a future game update.

Unable to Repair T-UGS - All Platforms - 31/01 @ 09:30 UTC

The T-UGS are currently unable to be repaired by a Repair Tool. We will allow for this functionality in an upcoming game update.

General Alerts

High CPU Load - PC - AWARE  @ 6/12 09:00 UTC

Season 3 and more recent updates continues to work towards improving Game Performance on PC. Battlefield 2042 is a Live Service title, and we’ll always work towards addressing any points of feedback throughout the lifespan of the title.

In general, we’re seeing we’re now seeing a positive increase in performance. However, we do still see some reports of stability issues.  

Workaround: As the game is now better optimized to draw resources from the CPU, if you notice throttling then try increasing your in-game visual quality settings and resolution to instead switch some of that load over to your GPU. We encourage playing around with your Settings to find out what works best for your specific system.
