November
We hope you’ve been enjoying Dark Protocol, Battlefield 2042’s new Limited Time Event that’s available for play until November 14.
Based on combat data received over the first two days of Dark Protocol, AOS, the Boreas artificial intelligence, has issued itself a firmware update to all Geist Forges to increase their lethality.
That means that through your feedback and gameplay we’re dialing up the spook factor with several gameplay improvements that are active immediately to our ongoing Limited Time Mode, Killswitch, and the gameplay behavior of Geists.

Geists
Dev Comment: We’ve seen your comments that it was sometimes unclear why Geists would stop moving during combat. Their gameplay behavior as Synthetic Soldiers was intended to have them remain stunned when dealt considerable damage during a short period of time. However, this gameplay behavior didn’t always lead to fun engagements so we are reducing this effect.
Forges
Dev Comment: This adjustment takes into account their increased effectiveness and the potential of Geists lasting longer during encounters.
This announcement may change as we listen to community feedback and continue developing and evolving our Live Service & Content. We will always strive to keep our community as informed as possible.

Give them some weapons and reduce the number.
I'd prefer less but well fighting geists.
Reason:
They are not Zombies
They are synthetic soldiers
3 super warriors per batch would be cool.
Then we need teamwork to take them down

Fix the goddam mouse input bug to even have fun on the game. It’s unplayable atm and why haven’t you guys at dice tested the patch before publishing it? I don’t have the actual fact for this one but i think not one human tested the latest patch before releasing it. They would’ve noticed that one. And why there isn’t a test server like the previous titles had.
It literally feels like there is max 2 employees working on this game.

@sagezz_ They fixed the mouse issues and released a patch yesterday... so not really an excuse anymore. You might just be bad.

Alright i might be wrong on that part. Havent played today so didn’t know that. But 1v1 me anytime infantry, helis, jets anything. Then you’ll know how ”bad” i am when i beat you to 6 feet underground

As i stated below im wrong on that part. But when this game has worked perfectly? There isn’t a time when something wasn’t broken, overpowered or something like that? So go suck on your moms udder until you can give me an answer to that

Hey all
The most annoying thing about this event to me is that the Geists just come up to you in a group and do a takedown on you.
And there's no way to counter it. It's absolutly humiliating.
In this context I always wondered why Portal doesn't allow to turn of the possibility to do takedowns.
For creating a mode that is supposed to be for killing with a specific weapon only, the bots always just get behind you and execute you out of nowhere.
So annoying...
I know, takedowns are a part of many games nowadays, but at least the option to turn them off in Portal would be a nice addition.

@Dactylum haha yeah the takedowns drive me nuts. I had a group run up to me and put me in a takedown, my squad member kept killing each one but they did it over and over until he couldn't kill them fast enough
