Unravel and unravel 2 both showing a black screen

I've just downloaded both the unravel games and both of them show a black screen the moment I open the game.

It shows my curser in the middle of the screen but thats it

System -

Windows 7

8GB RAM

GTX 1060

Could you please give us more technical information about your computer? A dxdiag would be very helpful. You can find instructions on how to get a dxdiag here, and you can attach it to your answer.

Let's try some troubleshooting steps, ok? Please, follow these steps and try the game after each of them:

• Make sure your Windows is completely up to date. If there's any updates available, please, install them.
• Update your graphics drivers: http://www.nvidia.com/download/driverResults.aspx/134881/en-uk
• If you have K-Lite Codec pack installed in your computer, make sure you have the latest version.
• Perform a clean boot of your computer as explained here: https://help.ea.com/en/article/how-to-clean-boot-your-pc/ . If there's any program causing compatibility issues, this will help find out.

Just interested. Do you have a audio/video codec pack installed like the "K-Llite-Codec Pack"?

I had an issue with black screen and crash 2 desktop because the Vobis video codec file this pack installed on my machine was too new and Unravel 2 couldn't use it to render the starting video.

If so, either uninstall the codec pack or replace the vsfilter.dll in the codec pack share folder with an older version ( can give you details on that, just ask if needed).

Unfortunetaly the DXDiag of Windows 7 does not show crash details.
