Lighthouse Elevator Bug in 2-Player mode PC [ Edited ]

Today I found bug in this game
This bug prevents the ligthouse elevator from reaching the second floor.
This only happens during 2 Player Co-Op mode.
I believe this bug is due to the fact that when the elevator starts moving, the player holding the lever automatically stops holding it. And therefore the elevator stops working.

For all the players facing this bug, the easy solution is to switch to 1-Player mode, get to the 2nd floor and switch back to the 2-Player mode after reaching the desired floor.

Is this bug going to get fixed in any future update?
