Xbox 360 to Xbox One transfer?

If I buy the 360 version and rank up in there and then later this year when I plan to get an Xbox One trade the 360 version for the One version do I keep my rank or would I have to restart entirely?

The Titanfall twitter account has said that your stats are tied to the specific platform you're playing on...so no transferring rank.
