Just wondering if there is an actual, you know, working solution for this hissing/static noise. I discovered this problem late as I wasn't going to pay for DLC in this shallow game, but when it was forced upon me for free it made the game unplayable. I've tried the trouble-shooting methods I can find including deleting the specified .cab files from a Respawn rep on Reddit and also the files found in _installer\directx\redist + repairing the game via origin. I've also deleted all files and downloaded again. Chronic hissing/static noises. I get the direct error and all the above.
Not only is it comical that this is the recommended troubleshooting methods opposed to a developer supplied patch, but they don't work for me. I'm going crazy here; does anyone else still have this problem or have you all moved on? I dig the game and the "free" DLC has ruined it for me. Please advise as to a working solution as this is an old game with an older problem I seem to have adopted.
