Unable to connect to EA servers to activate Titanfall

after a long while, decided to re-download and install Titanfall.

Got the following error (even after repairing game files): Unable to connect to EA servers to activate Titanfall

There is no chat help available (guess they have disabled this as a lot of people are having issues and EA do not want to speak to us)

Their telephone support line has over an hour wait (which will further put you off from calling them).

Anyone had any luck fixing this themselves?

When it is available, Live Chat tends to have a shorter wait than telephone callback, however, when telephone callback is the ONLY option, of course it slow down still more than the usual.  Some of the EA server farms have been quite sickly lately, and while it doesn't affect all games, the results can be very widespread.
