Playing online across platforms

Can I play someone else on xbox 360 if I have Xbox one? Can two of us play in the house, against each other, (or together) when I have both xbox platforms??

Titanfall has no cross platform functionality, you are only able to compete against other Xbox One players.

I want to know WILL there ever cross-platform play?

I just wanted to know this because i got this game on pc and my brother wanted to battle me so we got the game on ps4 but then found out that it has no cross-platform multiplayer.
