what worked for me was uninstall origin and install it back again and it should work good as new
go to start
control panel
uninstall program (that would be under programs) click it
all your installed program should pop up.
search for origin (right-click) hit uninstall
go here to install it back again https://www.origin.com/usa/en-us/store/download
when its done installing (click it)
then it will tell you how to set your setting and let you log in

@UzukiKishima Hi, have you tried the Origin reinstall?
If this is ineffective, can you try (temporarily) disabling your anti-virus, restart Origin and try again?
In many cases this is due to Origin being blocked by local security software, so checking the anti-virus can help.

I just had this issue trying to install Sims 3 on my sister-in law's HP Pavilion laptop. I discovered the issue was that the date and time on her computer was incorrect, (it had gotten stuck on 2006 somehow) causing Origin.com's security certificates to appear out of date with the computer and blocked us from logging in. Once I fixed the date/time on the computer I reinstalled Origin and everything worked great.

Yeah! it's total bs. I have purchased all of the expansion packs for sims 4 including the game and then origin comes up with this sh*t. also, why did my sims 4 game uninstall all of my game packs?

This did not work for me and I am frustrated nothing is working and I can't play with my friends online. If any more solutions are known, please tell me.

Have you tried to clear Origin cache files? Loading your system with the Clean Boot can also fix this. Alternatively you can get in touch with EA Advisors.

Thank you so much it worked! I paid for the game about a month ago and I just gave up. But I saw in a email someone responded so I checked it out and I followed everything you said.
