hey, try this: open control panel-->system and security-->firewall-->allow an app through firewall-->enable origin.exe and originclientservice.exe. then it might automatically update. when done, it should work probadly Standard smile

Download and install the latest version of Origin at www.origin.com/download (and make sure you have your Origin account ready as well)
Close the origin client and go directly to you origin folder

Try to deactivate your firewall/antivirus software and/or check the online ports of your connection:

Please let us now, if this problem after this workaround still exist.

Okay so I reinstalled origin and then I ran it again same problem, it says I have to be online. well my internet is working perfectly fine. I tried to reset my windows 8 lap top and it let me log in but then when I went to play the game it kicked me off and logged me out. If I doesn't start working I'm going to give up and uninstalling it and going to the store and taking these games back. I'm really good at computers and everything but I just cant seem to figure this one little thing. What's wrong with it? Why isn't it working anymore?

It's probably something simple like using a poor browser.  Chrome is pretty useless on EA's websites.  I suggest going to Help Center and connecting with a Game Adviser to settle it.

@Mackenziethesimm ensure that your Firewall and/or Antivirus are not blocking the connection. The easiest way would be adding an exception for the Origin Client,

You need to do this> add firewall/antivirus exceptions for Origin and open the needed ports http://help.ea.com/en/article/connection-issues-with-origin/#1
Make sure you are the administrator, run the setup file Origin with Admin rights http://help.ea.com/en/article/how-do-i-run-a-program-or-a-game-as-an-administrator/#2

Restart Origin.

 If your issue persist... i think you can try a Clean Boot In this case, they can be eliminated  the source of problem.

 -you need to press the key combination: “Windows Key + R”;

In the “Run” window, type the message “msconfig” without quotes;
-you need to left click on the “OK” button;
Select “General” tab, from the toolbar and chose the feature called “ Selective startup”;
-uncheck the box found in the left of the message: “ Load startup items”;
Select “Service” tab, from the toolbar;
-check the box in the left of message: “Hide all Microsoft services”;
Left click on the “Disable all” button, found on the lower-right side of the window;
Left click on the “OK” button;
-a new message box will prompt on your display. Left click on the “Restart” button in order to restart your operating system.

NOTE save any open files and close all programs before restarting your computer.

Constantly updating drivers is a good way to Mess'up the whole system. ""Don't fixit with it if it ain't broken!""

My Opinion is no more important or right than yours.- Ask, and it shall be given you.

There is no eMAIL gateway for replies from Answer HQ.  You must return here to read your answers, and my suggestion was to seek the official tech support.  Did you read the responses?
