Titanfall 2 uses too much memory.

★★★ Newbie

Hello.

When i play Titanfall 2 it runs amazing, 60 FPS and fast loading.

But after 2 online matches game uses 100% memory and other operations on PC takes awful long time.

Opening windows take minutes, videos on browser dont play and other stuff.

I have 12GB RAM.

What to do?

Thanks for your answers

@AriShadowZ Just at a guess, is this a laptop/pre-built system?

The reason I'm asking is that you say you have 12 gb of RAM - that's usually something they do with laptops and prebuilts, and a certain amount is going to be shared video RAM. So - with 12GB RAM - you've probably got 8GB for the game/OS, and 4 for whatever graphics chipset you have.

The minimum requirements when the game came out was 8gb of system RAM, and at least 2gb of video memory.

That's why it's maxing out your ram - it's using whatever your laptop is telling it to use. My advice would be to max out the memory that your system can use. That way - if you say go to 16 or more GB of RAM, you'll be over that 8gb minimum requirement, and you may find it works better.

I mean, on my PC it happens only with Titanfall 2.

No other game has this issue.

All I can say is that it's in line with other issues people are posting about.  Someone just resurrected a 5-year-old thread about stuttering, and in that thread, the common denominator is 16 gb of RAM - the rest of their system specs blow away minimum requirements.

Remember that minimum requirements mean that the game will start and play with everything on the lowest settings.

What are the rest of the specs on your system?

Here are the original minimum hardware requirements for the game:

OS - Win 7/8/8.1/10 64bit.
CPU - Intel Core i3-6300t or equivalent.
RAM - 8GB.
HDD Free Space - 45GB.
GPU - NVIDIA Geforce GTX 660 2GB, AMD Radeon HD 7850 2GB.
DirectX - 11.
Internet Connection - 512Kbps or faster.

(Windows 10 was brand new when Titanfall 2 was released)

Just trying to help you, my friend.  This game - as mad as EA and Respawn make me the way they treat the Titanfall fanbase - is absolutely worth any headache to get the game to work properly.  It blows everything else out of the water.
