Titanfall 2 for Steam not launching (Origin says it's not installed) [ Edited ]

For me, this was happening because Origin does not recognise network drives at all and I install my Steam games to my NAS these days.

Moving to a local drive ( D: in this case ) fixed the issue.

But I am left wondering why Origin can't see network drives, this seems both intentional and nonsensical.
