For me, this was happening because Origin does not recognise network drives at all and I install my Steam games to my NAS these days.

Moving to a local drive ( D: in this case ) fixed the issue.

But I am left wondering why Origin can't see network drives, this seems both intentional and nonsensical.

Hi, i just wanna clear up:

You need to start the following file as Admin:
C:\Program Files\Electronic Arts\EA Desktop\EA Desktop\EADesktop.exe
And maybe log in with your account, because you may not be logged in as admin.

That's it, nothing more.
