Titanfall 2 crashes back to desktop at launch. Running GTX 1080, 32 GB RAM,  and I7. Have updated drivers, "repaired game" in Origin, everything...... Anyone?

I had to uninstall and then re-install, then it booted ok. Today after an update to TF2 by Origin is began crashing to the desktop at launch again.

I see, Are you playing at your full resolution? Does turning down texture quality have any measurable effect? You've got a whole lot of VRAM, but I wonder if high settings combined with the high resolution is a factor. 

 

Also can you try a repair? If you right-click the game panel you should get the option to repair, it should be quick and will hopefully help.
