Hi Everyone!

Really digging TitanFall 2 and I'm totally looking forward to additional content in that universe. I was really interested in picking up some custom skins from the in-game store, but I get that pesky error message "Origin Overlay Disabled". It's a real bummer, and I can't imagine what the developer meetings are like to stare at this bug that literally prevents money transactions with EA.

I was hoping to get additional support from the awesome folks here!

 

Here is the report I made:

 

Platform: PC
Issue: Unable to invite friends to a game, unable to make in-game purchases: "Origin Overlay Disabled"
Can you reproduce this issue 100% of the time: Yes
Details on how to reproduce the issue:
1. Open Origin
2. In Origin Client: Origin => Application Settings => Origin In-Game => Enable Origin In-Game is already checked
3. In Origin Client: My Game Library => Titanfall 2 => Settings => Game Properties => Enable Origin In Game for Titanfall® 2 is already checked
4. Start the game
5. Choose Multiplayer matches
6. Attempt to invite friend => Origin Overlay Disabled [OK]

If you’re platform is PC, please post the following details.
Processor (CPU): AMD Ryzen 7 1700X Eight-Core Processor (16 CPUs) ~ 3.4GHz
Graphics Card (GPU): NVIDIA GeForce GTX1080
Memory: 16GB
Operating System: Windows 10 1903

I've attempted the following:
  • Uninstall Titanfall 2, Uninstall Origin Client
  • "Clean Boot" into Windows 10
  • Redownload Origin Client, install Origin Client and Titanfall 2
  • verified C:\Users\[user]\AppData\Roaming\Origin\local_xxxxxxxxx.xml contains the line: <Setting type="1" key="EnableIgo" value="true"/>
  • re-toggled the settings noted in Steps 2 and 3
  • Run Origin Client as Administrator
  • Run Titanfall 2 as Administrator
  • Repaired the re-install of Titanfall 2 via Origin Client
  • Run third-party app CCleaner, removing junk files and cleaning registry
I do not have any antivirus running.

I downloaded that version but it wont let me play now cause it says it needs to update and is in offline mode Frown
