So, every time I launch Titanfall 2 (on PC), it seems to launch normally until the Respawn logo pops up. The logo appears, but the background texture won't load, so the background stays black as the game crashes with an error stating something like "Create2DTexture" failed to create texture "ShadowDepthArray" with AGS return code 0x... etc. It has been doing this since early November and I'm getting rather frustrated since driver and game updates aren't fixing it.
What the heck can I do?

I was able to fix the issue. I went into the application settings document and disabled shadows by changing the 1 to a 0 and am now able to play. Any time I re-enable shadows in-game, the game automatically crashes. Sun shadows remains on without a problem, but as for the other shadows, there is some sort of bug. Thanks for your help, and I would appreciate it if you could pass this on to the team for fixing! My specs for reference are 6th gen i5, 8gb RAM, AMD Radeon RX 480 (by XFX, black edition).

I completed all of the steps. All of my Windows files, gpu driver files, and game files are up to date, I performed a clean boot, cleared the Origin cache, and I still got the same error. Is it worth noting that the error window says that it is an "engine error"?

Make sure you don't have nothing overclocked at the moment in your machine.
Now check to see if direct x is up to date.
Go in Origin / My Games tab ,right click on game icon select Repair.
NOTE if your issue persist go in Game Options / Video settings / and changed it to Windowed mode.
