Hi
I bought this game in December last year and so far the overlay never worked at all.
It didn't bother me until recently as I wanted to play TF|2 with some origin friends but couldn't due to "Overlay is disabled" error.
It happens only in Titanfall 2 and none of the solutions I've found on forums worked (manually reinstalling Origin, cleaning cache, clean boot, enabling and disabling overlay in the advanced settings, etc.).
Is there anything else I can do without reinstalling Windows 10?

It is possible your antivirus or antimalware software is interfering here.
Try temporarily disabling that and retry while it is not active. Thanks.

I don't have any antiviruses active or any firewalls on
Plus if it was the issue overlay shouldn't be active in any games (it works perfectly fine in other titles)

Hi @MBychowski
When you have a chance can you try clearing out your Origin cache to see if that helps at all? If there's something cached in the Origin client that's causing this it can solve this issuse.
For more info on how to clear the cache check out the Help Website.
Let me know how it goes.

Hello @MBychowski
Try this:
* Start titanfall 2
* Click multiplayer
* Click invite friends and now you should have origin enabled.
If still not working,
Try theese different things.
Repair the game
Go to origin > my game libary > click on Titanfall 2 > click the gear icon > click repair.
Delete the temp files:
Open the start menu and search %temp% click enter, now a folder should have been opened. Delete all files in there.
Make sure origin is enabled ingame
1. Open Origin
2. Click on My Game Library
3. Right-click on the game for which you want to turn off Origin in game
4. Choose game properties
5. Tick the option Enable Origin In Game for
Perform a clean boot: https://help.ea.com/en-us/help/faq/how-to-clean-boot-your-pc/
Happy Solstice, Scoofy!

Already tried all of those prior to writing this post.
Sadly none of them worked.
I might try clearing the temporary files again but I heavily doubt it will solve the issue.

Try this
Go to Application Settings and then to Installs & Saves.
Make sure the 'Game Library Location' is linked directly to where you have Titanfall 2 installed.
Titanfall 2 should be in a folder called 'Origin Games', along with any other EA games you have installed. Link it to that folder.
Before doing this, one way you can test that Origin actually has the location folder screwed up is if you 'Right Click' on the TitanFall 2 icon in Origin and select 'Move Game'. If your Explorer pops open and the folder is empty, then you know that Origin doesn't know where the TF2 path is.
