Missing core abilites titanfall2

Summarize your bug Animation for titan core and nothing happens
How often does the bug occur? Occasionally (10% - 49%)
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Hit melee right after you hit titan core you will lose the core, meter drops to zero
What happens when the bug occurs? Lose core abilities
What do you expect to see? The core go off tone and scorch so far only two titans which I have had a problem with

So I understand correctly, if you hit melee just after activating the Tone and Scorch cores you'll see the animation, but you won't attack? So there's no fire wave for Scorch and no missile spam for Tone?

Just to check in case this is a strange local issue, can you try a repair of your game files? Right click the game panel to get the repair option.
