Hi there,
I recently downloaded Sims 4 and played it happily about 2-4 times. Then, after not having been on it for a week or so, I pressed play, and it opened up a new screen that was black, then it switched back to my previous screen and had the loading mouse. Whenever I try to play the game this happens, and I end up having to force quit the application because I can't do anything else on my computer. I have tried repairing it, updating it, quitting Origin, quitting Origin and restarting my Mac, but nothing has worked!!
I have the Deluxe Edition and The Cats And Dogs Expansion Pack
Any help would be appreciated
Thanks!

Ok. Can you please disable Origin in-game and then try launching again? You can find instructions on how to do this here - https://bluebellflora.com/2017/12/23/disable-origin-in-game/

If you play with Mods/CC please move them out and try loading your game.
Try repairing the game too. Right click on Sims 4 in your Games Library in Origin and select Repair.
Let me know how you get on

I don't play with any mods (unless the expansion packs count)
I have tried repairing the game twice and it doesn't work
