sims 4 folder only has saves in it

Hey there! 

I downloaded the Sims 4 through Origin onto my Macbook (2017). However, the EA>Sims 4 folder in 'documents' is empty except for one 'saves' folder and a userdata.lock file. The game also won't start. I have to add that I had previously installed the game on this same macbook but deinstalled it because I ran into some issues that I thought the game had caused. Now I wanted to reinstall it and ran into said issues. Can someone help???

Is the folder called EA or Electronic Arts?

Do you have iCloud Drive enabled?

Move the Sims 4 folder to the desktop and ry and launch your game again, does it work?
