"Unknown Error Occurred" with Base Game

I've been trying to install The Sims 3 on my 2015 MacBook Pro, but when I just install the base game, I get an "Unknown Error Occurred" message everytime. I own the base game and all the expansions, so it would be really good if I got this working.
