Re: macOS Sierra - Sims 3 and Sims 4

@Vavloe

Did you get rid of all the files?

Uninstall again then install just the base game, manually patch it to 1.67, then load and see if it works. Don't bother trying to install the EP until you have the base game working.

Thank you for your input. I did a clean uninstall and followed that post you linked.

Will try to just install the base game and get back to you after Standard smile

It didn't work... It shows the starting screen, I can hit the play-button but after that it gets stuck Frown

Force quit again!

Hmm, very weird!

Can you please set up a new administrator account on your Mac and try and play/install in that account?

I made a new admin account and installed the base game but it did exactly the same as on my original account!

Very disappointing, I thought it was a very good idea and was almost convinced it would work Frown

I recently upgraded from OS Mountain Lion to Sierra. I'm playing Sims 3 with the Pets expansion. The last time I played was before I installed Sierra, and everything worked fine. Today, I tried playing Pets and after clicking the icon and play in the launcher, the game proceeded to get stuck on the green diamond/blue background screen. I've searched through some forums for this problem and see that it mostly has to do with having a post 2013 computer. I have a 2012 yet I am experiencing the same symptoms. Any fixes or suggestions? I have not tried reinstalling it yet.

@Nillameringue

Can you try the suggestions already posted in this thread? Uninstall/reinstall, new user account etc.

@Vavloe

Urgh, sorry Frown Do you have any clean up apps installed or antivirus which could be interfering?

@Vavloe

Sorry Frown Logically it is something specific to your Mac as it is not affecting everyone. Has the recent 10.12.1 update made any difference? How about reinstalling Sierra again? You shouldn't lose any data by doing so but obviously back up your Mac anyway Standard smile
