Transferring Files to Mac from Windows

★ Guide

I’ll be getting a new computer soon and I want to transfer everything from The Sims 4 on the old computer to the new one. Is it possible to do so if the new computer is a Mac and the old one is Windows? And if it’s possible, how do I do so?

@AriaMad2, It's very easy to transfer your saved games between computers no matter the OS (operating system). First of all, you should read up on Sims 4 in the Troubleshooting guides sticked at the top of this forum. You'll need to download Origin for the Mac on your new computer and turn off Origin In Game as it currently doesn't work well with Mac's latest OS, Mojave. Also make sure that the Cloud saving feature is turned off as well. Next you'll need to re-download the Base Game and all the add ons you had. Don't worry. You won't need to repurchase them. Make sure you log into the same Origin account as you currently have and the game will be available for download. Next step is to download the Sims 4 folder (Documents > Electronic Arts > Sims 4) onto a USB Thumb drive from your old computer. Start up Sims 4 on your Mac remembering that none of your saved games will be present yet as the new Sims 4 folder has to generate. Start a new game just to make sure everything works and play for about an hour. Save and quit your new game. Then you can hook up the thumb drive and transfer over your saved games.
