The Sims 4 "Application Not Responding" on iMac [ Edited ]

I have had The Sims 4 on my iMac for over a year and it has never had any problems until about a week ago. Now when I click play, it glitches out and goes to a black screen like its trying to start but then disappears and says "not responding." I've tried repairing the game, force quitting Origin, updating the game and Origin, and uninstalling the Sims. Nothing will work. It started yesterday and I was really excited but I just got the Cats and Dogs expansion pack and had to restart it. Help!

That doesn't look good! Can you please run the Origin reset tool then try loading it again? https://help.ea.com/en-gb/help/origin/origin/how-to-reset-origin-on-mac/
