Sims 4

I'm looking for some help. 

I have been playing sims on my MacBook pro for the last 3 years and it was worked flawlessly until now. 

When i try to load up my game it opens but it remains at a black screen, then redirects me back to my desktop and i have to force quit sims in order to remove it from the dock. 

I do not have any custom content or mods in my game as i completely removed all of this in an attempt to combat this issue, but it did not work. 

i have also reinstalled and repaired the game, and both the game and my laptop are fully up to date. 

Any help in resolving this issue would be much appreciated.

Can you disable Origin in-game then try loading the game again?
