Sims 4 won't launch (mac)

Please help i'm a complete noob here. I just bought sims 4 on origin (i'm on a macbook air) and everytime I try and play it just freezes immediately.

@gziwisdom  There are a number of things that could be happening, but the easiest potential fix is disabling Origin in-game.  (On the menu bar at the top of your screen, click on Origin>Preferences>Origin In Game and then uncheck the box to allow it.)  It's also possible that your graphics settings are causing problems; you can reset them by deleting the options.ini file from your TS4 game folder, if you have one.  The game folder would be in Documents>Electronic Arts.
