Sims 4 not loading on mac

[ Edited ]

I recently purchased and downloaded the new Seasons expansion pack, and now my game won't load. When I click on "play" my screen goes to black, crashes, and then I have to force quit the game because the application is not responding.

Here's a list of everything I already tried:

Repair game (several times)

Reset origin

Restarted origin and my computer several times

Moved Sims 4 folder onto desktop for a clean user data folder (I use CC)

Turned off Origin In Game

Moved Sims 4 folder to trash (but left the Sims4.par folder alone) and re-downloaded it through origin - now the Sims 4 app on my computer won't open at all after doing this, it says the file is incomplete

Uninstalled the game through origin and re-downloaded it

Here are the specs on my computer:

Macbook Pro 13" 2016

macOS High Sierra version 10.13.2

Processor: 2.9 GHz Intel Core i5

Memory: 8GB 2133 mHz LPDDR3

Graphics: Intel Iris Graphics 550 1536 MB

I'm not running any antivirus and I do use CC (but I already moved that game folder out onto my desktop)

Any advice would be great, it seems like I've tried everything at this point

@Arielface33  I suppose you could try uninstalling and reinstalling Origin as well.  There are a few extra files to hunt down:

Other than that, the only thing I can think of is to try everything at once: uninstall Origin and TS4, clean folder, disable Origin in-game.

If that doesn't work, perhaps the true expert will have more ideas.
