Sims 4 keeps crashing during gameplay on mac

Today i downloaded the mac version of the Sims 4. I had finnished creating my sims and started to move them in. In the process of doing this the game crashed. I tried to load it back up around 3-4 times. It said there was a graphics error. I tried to go back onto the game to fix it but it kept on crashing. I dont know what to do. try this

head over to your documents folder and from there open up Electronic Arts, and then The Sims 4. look and see if you have a file thats called options.ini and if you do go ahead and drag it to your desktop. then try loading the game back up and see if that did anything.

Could you post a System Information / System Profiler report please. Instructions on how to do so are as follows:

1. Click the Apple in the menu bar (top left)

2. Go to 'About this Mac'

3. Click 'More Info'

4. The System Information or System Profiler app will launch

5. Click 'File', then 'Save'

6. Save the information somewhere convenient.

7. Copy the information into a reply.

Hello,

Am I right in that your Macbook Pro model has a Retina screen? I think your crashing issues may be related to the fact that your Intel HD graphics are struggling to display the graphics of the game at such a high resolution of the Retina display.

I would suggest turning your resolution down and/or your settings down and see whether that reduces your crashing.

I've tried that but it hasn't worked; all it keeps saying after it crashes is that there is a graphics error.

The same has been happening to me, but im not even in gameplay! It's crashing whenever i get to the first loading screen, it gets stuck half way whilst going around the plumbob. Its so fustrating!

Try repairing your game and making sure the game is updated to include the new patch. Right click on the game in Origin and then try both repairing the game and updating the game.

What Mac OS are you running? Updating to Yosemite seems to solve most problems.
