I tried to download CC onto my game and anytime I tried to launch from origin the screen would turn black and eventually bring me back to my desktop. I would right click on the sims 4 logo and it would say "application not responding." So I removed the CC from the mods folder but the game is still not working. I even "repaired" the game via origin but that didn't help either.

@nbernal9876 The first thing to try is to drag your TS4 folder out of Documents and onto your desktop. The next time you launch the game, a fresh, clean folder will spawn with no content. If you can play using this folder for a bit, you can transfer your saves into it from the old folder. Hopefully the saves themselves aren't corrupt, but if a save causes your game to start crashing again, your best option is to revert to a previous version of that save.
If the clean folder test doesn't work, try running the Origin reset tool for macs. You can also disable Origin in-game; this seems to fix a lot of issues on macs. You could also try uninstalling and reinstalling Origin only, which would not affect your game.

If you're still having trouble, please post your mac's specs here, along with which packs you're running.
