I just bought my Sims 4 digital deluxe bundle with get to work. I installed it using origin and once I finished I can open the game but then at launch it freezes. My computer does the rainbow wheel so I have to force quit the application. Application says not responding! I have been on the phone with 3 different tech support representatives and tried chatting 2x with different people. I have tried ALL the troubleshooting issues and they have issued me a refund. Moral of the story is I am not sure what else to do and I wish I can play this game. I am including all the steps I did to try and make my Sims 4 game work.
- Uninstalled Origin/reset Origin using reset origin download tool .. done this 4 times
- Uninstalled Sims 4 game .. done this 4 times
- I also tried to just install the base game and not the expansion packs..
- Made a new user on my mac and tried to launch it there .. done this 2 times
- I tried a safe boot and tried to launch the game there.. it just tells me I cannot launch application
- I tried to save my sims 4 folder as sims 4 old and launch the game again and it made a new folder and it did the same issue
and possibly done more troubleshooting steps (just too many to remember).
I am running on macOS High Sierra version 10.13.5, maybe the versions aren't supported?
Please help me run this game! Hopefully no one has to go through this problem.

You could try disabling Origin in-game, that may help.
Your Mac also has dedicated/discrete graphics. Could you please state which exact GPU it has? If you need help finding this information please read this post for instructions. I think it's AMD.

You could try disabling Origin in-game, that may help.
