If I don't reply straight away it is because I'm busy. You don't need to create a new thread for your issue
Can you please give me the full spec. of your machine. Instructions on how to do so and what info needed here - https://answers.ea.com/t5/The-Sims-Mac/READ-FIRST-Sims-3-Mac-Help-Guides-and-Troubleshooting/m-p/475...

Sorry! I'm just anxious to get this fixed! As for my computer specs...
macOS Sierra
10.12.6
Macbook Pro (13" early 2011)
Processor: 2.3 GHz Intel Core i5
Memory: 4 GB 1333 MHz DDR3
Graphics: Intel HD Graphics 3000 384 MB
I'm not running any antivirus software, and I only have Late Night EP installed. I don't have any custom content or mods or anything either.
Also, I tried to do a clean uninstall/reinstall of Late Night and then followed the steps you initially gave to fix the problem. It got rid of the Unknown Error (woo!), but I'm back to square one where I'm stuck on that blue and green Sims 3 logo screen before the game loads.

Thanks
And you're patched up to date, to 1.67?

Ok. One last thing to try... Can you create a new user account on your Mac and attempt to load the screen in that account?

Great! Most probably a memory issue then. The Launcher uses nearly 2Gb RAM which is the maximum the game can utilise. Read this article on purging RAM before and during gameplay
