Sims 3 Late Night Won't Open, It Will Just Say "Error"

Hello! I really need some help! I just reinstalled my late night sims game and it doesn't seem to want to work properly. I had Sims 3 pets and the normal sims 3 game already, but I couldn't figure out why the sims 3 late night, when I installed it, won't open. It keeps saying, "Error" on a little screen that will pop up when I start it. I uninstalled it and ran the game and it seemed to work fine, but I really want to play with the late night expansion. Please help!

Oh and by the way, I have a Macbook Air and here are the details on it: (P.S. I do NOT have any kind of anti-virus software on it.)

MacBook Air (11-inch, Mid 2011)

Processor: 1.6 GHz Intel Core i5

Memory: 4 GB 1333 MHz DDR3

Graphics: Intel HD Graphics 3000 384 MB

I can understand you want to enjoy Late night, so let's try to find out what's wrong, ok? Thanks for the details you have already shared with us, could you also provide the version of your OS (Sierra, El Capitan,...) and a screenshot of the error?
