Some days i'm able to play 6 hours or more without crashing/problems and other times I'd open the "Relationships" tab or when I load a lot, the game freezes for a couple secs, goes to normal then crashes back to Origin right after. I've checked my CC extensively and I can't locate any bad CC so maybe it's my graphics settings? My game runs without lag fine on my current settings outside of the crashing part. I can't pinpoint where the problem is coming from

I know it is a pain, but if you launch a vanilla game without any cc/mods and play for while do you have the same problem? I had some cc that I was sure wasn't the problem and then yes... yes it was. If a no cc game does not crash then I recommend adding in your cc in chunks to help you isolate the culprit. When you know which one it is then go back to your full game. Do NOT launch your cc game without the mods installed or all the connections will be lost and you will have to reapply all of it...annoying.

Thanks and yeah I spent a couple hours doing that but I wasn't able to reproduce a crash at the same spot. For example the other day I was able to play for about 8 hours with no freezes or a crash but yesterday it crashed after about 2 hours. I haven't added any new CC in a couple of months

@bdeezy89 , While you may not have added any new CC, it still could be something in your Sims 4 folder has become corrupt. Try playing a vanilla game and seeing if the game crashes at any of the places you noticed it doing so before.
To do this, move your entire Sims 4 folder to your Desktop and do NOT delete it! This is where all your saved games are stored. Start your game and allow it to generate a new Sims 4 folder. Start a new game remembering that none of your saved games and CC will be present. Play for about an hour or so, trying to see if the game crashes in any of the places it happened before. You can either simply quit or save and quit it is your choice. If the game plays fine, you can transfer your saved games and CC to the new Sims 4 folder.
Please keep us updated.

@Bluebellflora Thanks, I was hoping this wasn't the case. So the only option is basically buy a new Mac or remove the high poly CC? I know you can't remove the graphics card from my Mac and I already maxed my memory card
