(Mac) Sims 3 Won't install

I'm having trouble installing the sims 3 base game. I was able to successfully download the game on Origin. It says that I have to manually install the using an external application (the sims 3 installer) and when I get to the part where I need to enter the promo code, the option to advance to the next step is grayed out, even when I enter the code (which I triple checked)

I'm running OS X El Capitan, and I don't have a disk drive
