Mac Issues

I have been trying for weeks to update my sims 4. I have read so many forums saying i need to uninstall origin. I did that, reinstalled it and it still won't download. It gets stuck at 10% then says calculating and the pausing. I have tried pretty much all of the possible fixes and nothing seems to work. Could it be my internet? although my internet has no issues downloading other things. 

Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated!!

How did you uninstall Origin?

Enabling Safe Mode should help. You may also need to flush the DNS.
