[MAC] update issue with sims 4

[ Edited ]
★ Novice

Ever since the new update on Sims 4 (played on Mac) everything has been glitching to the point where it's unplayable which is really annoying, I've reinstalled everything (which took a good 12 hours) and it's still the same, what can I do next?

Thanks. I think the problem may be that as you add more EPs/SPs/GPs to your game your Mac is starting to struggle to cope with the demands the game is putting on your processor and integrated graphics.

You could try lowering all your graphics settings in game and make sure laptop mode is enabled. Turn off Origin in game and notifications too. Upgrading your Mac to 8Gb RAM may also help.

Are you running El Capitan? Does your Mac have one of the graphics cards listed in this post?

So which Mac do you have? Click on the Apple icon in the top left corner of your desktop and select About This Mac. Please provide the following information (you may need to click on More Info depending on what operating system you're running:

- Operating System (Version)
- Mac model
- Processor
- Memory (RAM)
- Graphics

- Are you running any antivirus?
- Do you have Time Machine/Spotify/Dropbox or similar running?

- Have you tried to repair the game in Origin? Right click on the game in My Games and select Repair Game.
- Do you use CC/Mods? If so, have you tried removing them and seeing if that fixes your problem?
- What Expansion, Stuff and Game Packs do you have installed?
