[MAC] Problem with Sims 4 start screen :( [ Edited ]

I recently downloaded Sims 4 off of origin, and went to play it. However when I click start it will load to the Sims 4 start screen (I believe, there are options to click on 3 different movies) but appears greyed out. When I click on the screen it tells me that I have been gifted a reward such as "Tiki topper island paradise award" but will not allow me to click off of this and therefore I am unable to play the game.

I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the game.

Any help would be really appreciated as I have been unable to find this same problem else were.

In Origin, right click the game, click Game Properties, disable Origin in Game, and give it a try. If that doesn't resolve your issue, visit The Sims 4 on Mac Discussions to find more troubleshooting. Best of luck!
