I have my sims 4 on a usb and i downloaded cc but its not working

Hello, I have the Sims 4 downloaded into my 32g USB as well as the EA folders I downloaded some cc and its placed in my mods folder, however, it's not showing up at all. What can I do to fix this problem?

Your user data folder is where your saves, CC, screenshots etc, are. This folder should be in Documents > Electronic Arts, not on your external USB. The full file path is Macintosh HD > Users > your user account > Documents > Electronic Arts > The Sims 4

Your user data folder needs to be on your Macs internal storage, in your Documents folder. Do you have it on the external? If so move it all to Documents > Electronic Arts > The Sims 4 and you'll be good to go.

What exactly is the user data folder? I downloaded the game from Origin into the USB as well as Origin itself is on the USB. Sorry, I'm not good with computers :/
