Can’t use numpad!!

I have seen a lot of yputubers using the + and - key or their numpad to cycle through different colours of furniture but I can ply zoom in or out, and the same thing happens with the + - keys on the actual keyboard! Any help?

Some games do not recognize the Numbers pad and you have to use the regular keyboard keys to get this to work. I've had this happen with other games.

Are you on a Mac using a full length keyboard or on a Windows PC?
