Can't download Cats & Dogs

I'm trying to download Cats and Dogs but I keep getting this message:

Origin is not able to download The Sims™ 4 Cats & Dogs to /Users/[my user name]/Applications/The Sims 4.app/Contents/EP04/ClientFullBuild1.package_DiP_STAGED.

Please check that the location is available or cancel and restart the download to another location.

I got a similar one when updating my main game, but I fixed that from a different thread. The same treatment isn't working with the expansion. What do I do?

Is your game installed in your Applications folder or do you have it installed on an external drive? Please run the Origin reset tool then try again.
