I use my two fingers to pinch in and out to zoom the camera in and out
I use my two fingers to use a rotating motion (like in a circle) to rotate the camera on the mouse pad
I have not change any trackpad settings. It was working last night, and as soon as Sims4 updated it stopped working. I don't have any mods, I looked at the troubleshooting for MAC from which none of it was helpful. I tried to repair the game on origin and didn't work. Restarted my computer, didn't work. It all stemmed from this update.

I just installed the Sims 4 patch update and I was wondering if anyone on Apple computer used to be able to use the touchpad to rotate the screen but isn't able to anymore. I now have to use the keyboard which makes it hard to build and not be able to rotate the screen and select an object at the same time. If anyone knows how or why this is happening, please let me know.

I can either do one or the other.
If I start out zooming in with the trackpad(mousepad) I will not be able to rotate with the trackpad, and vice versa. The keyboard work fine when needing to zoom in and out and moving around, its the trackpad (mousepad) that isn't working when trying to do these actions of zooming in and out AND rotating.
I'm sorry I didn't see what other previous information was needed. Did I miss anymore?

The gesture I’m trying to use is putting two fingers on the trackpad and turning them in a circle to rotate the camera. Since the update today the gesture doesn’t rotate the camera, but the arrows on the keyboard still work. I can also zoom in and out using the trackpad. I have not made any changes to system preferences. The issue started immediately after the update.
Edit: after reading other replies I tried to rotate before zooming and was able to rotate the camera using the trackpad, but was not able to zoom afterwards
