making a room inside a house

It says "to build a room, hold and drag on the grass or anywhere within an existing house." But it won't let me hold and drag inside a house, so how can I add a small room within a big room without resizing all the existing walls a bunch of times and spending a ton of extra money? Why won't it just let me make a room inside?

Currently you can't build walls within a house. Maybe that is something we can get them to add in future updates.

Then why does it say "or anywhere inside an existing house"? That is very misleading.
