Sims FreePlay Luxury Living Event won’t pop up on my game

This is regarding The Sims FreePlay. The Luxury Living event has not shown up on my game, yet some players have had it for nearly a week. I didn’t complete it the last time it ran, so I don’t know why I and other players have yet to get it. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling and playing on a different device with no results. I sent a ticket to Firemonkeys, and haven’t heard back from them. I’m sure I speak for other players when I say it’s frustrating watching the time run out on an event we’d like to complete. Can someone let us know what’s happening here?

@ArtistRenaYou have to update the game before the event shows up.  I had to update my iOS on my ipad before the game update showed up in the store.
